Completing Jobs
When work is finished, completing a job properly ensures accurate records and triggers follow-up actions like invoicing.
Marking a Job Complete
From the Web App
- Open the job
- Review that all work is documented
- Click Complete Job
- Add any final notes
- Confirm completion
From the Mobile App
- Open the job on your device
- Tap Complete
- Add completion notes or photos
- Submit
Before Completing
Make sure you've documented:
- Work performed - What was actually done
- Materials used - Parts or supplies consumed
- Time logged - Hours worked by team members
- Photos - Before and after images (if applicable)
- Customer signature - If required for your workflow
What Happens After Completion
When you complete a job:
- Status updates - Job moves to "Completed"
- Notifications - Relevant team members are notified
- Invoice ready - Job can be converted to an invoice
- Reports updated - Completion data flows to reports
Creating an Invoice
After completing a job:
- Open the completed job
- Click Create Invoice
- Review line items and pricing
- Add any additional charges
- Send to customer
Reopening a Job
If you need to reopen a completed job:
- Open the job
- Click Reopen Job
- Select a reason
- The job returns to "In Progress" status
Note: Reopening may affect related invoices. Review before reopening.
Job History
All job activity is recorded:
- Status changes
- Assignment updates
- Notes and communications
- Time entries
- Document uploads
Access history by opening a job and viewing the Activity or History tab.
